Dominique Ansel may be getting his cease-and-desist ready now: WWeek discovers that Joe's Donuts in Sandy, Oregon is serving an "outrageously delicious" pastry it's calling the "Cro-Nut." Unlike NYC's line-inducing pastry, Joe's version keeps things simple, essentially deep-frying a regular croissant then glazing it in sugar, like a doughnut.
