Just as he first hinted back in November 2013, Mark Doxtader will indeed re-open his wood-fired restaurant Tastebud in Multnomah Village, taking over a former antiques store on the SW Capitol Highway. Eat Beat brings additional details: Doxtader's familiar wood-fired oven, which fires up Montreal-style bagels and pizzas at the Portland Farmer's Market, will resurrect the pizza and roast chicken menu once offered in Tastebud's now-closed SE Milwaukie dining room.
But expect a menu expansion to come with the 45-seat space. Per PoMo's Ben Tepler, Doxtader plans to add "heaps of Oregon seafood, farm-fresh vegetables and salads, and a new breakfast program." (According to the magical world of liquor license paperwork, the restaurant could open as early at 8a.m. for the breakfast crowd.) Projected opening: November 2014.
