Food truck impresario Bo Kwon has made it official at his first brick-and-mortar restaurant: KOi Fusion's 35-seat restaurant on SE Division, nicknamed KOi DStreet for its location inside the D-Street Village building, opened its doors May 1.
Eat Beat was first to spot the opening and some of Kwon's new menu items: In addition to KOi's familiar line-up of bulgogi beef tacos, kalbi-stuffed burritos, and kimchi quesadillas, Kwon's brick-and-mortar plays with new mashups like a Korean-inspired Reuben sandwich (topped with "kimchi sauerkraut"). Kwon also promises "deep-fried wonders" like bacon-wrapped hot dogs and sweet potato fries, plus two beers on tap. KOi DStreet is open now; stay tuned for a look inside. Hours of operation: 11a.m. to 10p.m., daily.
