Portland's own ChefStable has announced its first project in San Francisco: ChefStable's Kurt Huffman will team with the founders of Bi-Rite Market and Napa Valley Distillery to open a "restaurant, events space, and booze-production facility" in SF's Dogpatch neighborhood. Huffman tells Eater SF he's tossing around restaurant concepts: One possibility is a "re-examined steakhouse," potentially with the same Grillworks grill that currently fires up Ox.
