WWeek embarks on an admirable quest to eat every rack of restaurant ribs in the Portland area, ranking them all from best to worst. The barbecue pork ribs at Smokehouse 21 are deemed the town's best ("with just enough spice to open up the taste buds and bring out the meat flavor without being overpowering"), and are followed closely by those at N. Mississippi food cart Meet and Podnah's Pit. On the bottom of the pile: Tennessee Red's and Campbell's BBQ. [WW]
