Dalo's Kitchen Forced to Move; Rose City Rosé Rumble

N. WILLIAMS— After a 12-year tenure on N. Vancouver Avenue (with its entrance of N. Williams), Dalo's Kitchen will be forced to shutter later this summer to make way for a new apartment building: The Oregonian reports the family-owned restaurant is actively looking for a new space after being informed they must vacate in August. Co-owner/chef Mimi Dibabu, whose father founded Dalo's, says they're looking in St. Johns and Southeast Portland, but the move is "bittersweet." PEARL DISTRICT— In the mood for a spontaneous wine tasting tonight? jamison will team with sommelier Ken Collura for the "Rosé City Rosé Rumble," taking place tonight (June 23) on jamison's outdoor patio. The $65 ticket includes tastes of more than 30 different rosés (pegged to a "Europe versus the Northwest" theme), plus family-style small plates served throughout the evening on an outdoor communal table.
