The Original Grant's Philly Cheesesteaks will expand to the west side, opening its second Portland location in the space previously home to Hala's Lebanese Grill, which has quietly closed after two-and-a-half years in business (previously, the space was home to Bewon Korean). Owners Grant and Diane Schuler revealed the new location on Facebook, and according to signage currently posted on the new site's window, the Schulers plan to offer the same menu as the one found on NE Sandy: Philadelphia cheesesteaks in whole or half sizes (five cheese options are available, including the traditional Cheez Whiz), burgers, hot dogs, salads, and cheese fries.
There's no official opening date yet (other than the vague "soon"), but tentative hours are from 11a.m. to 9p.m., Monday through Friday. More as it becomes available.
