Cupcake Jones Opening Alberta Grab-and-Go Location

New, 1 comment

Are cupcakes the new cupcake? Just a week after Saint Cupcake re-emerged in downtown Portland, longtime Pearl District bakery Cupcake Jones has announced it'll open a second, "grab-and-go" location on NE Alberta. According to owner Lisa Watson, cupcakes will be baked fresh daily at the Pearl District location, then brought over to the 462-square-foot space, in a building still under construction (Watson laughs that she's not sure of the exact street address offhand).

But as a result, the diminutive shop will feature the same menu — cupcakes in flavors like the lemon-curd-filled "lemoncello," the carrot-cake "What's Up, Doc?," and the chocolate chip, cake filled with cookie dough and topped with buttercream. Cupcake Jones debuted in NW in 2007, with its Alberta shop slated to open sometime this fall.
