After years in the kitchens of the Bruce Carey restaurant group, chef Dolan Lane is moving on. A representative for BCR confirms Lane is leaving his current post as chef of the Pearl District's Bluehour for a position at "another Portland restaurant" (as yet unnamed). During his lengthy stint at Bruce Carey Restaurants (which started back in 2000, as chef de cuisine at Bluehour), Lane has led kitchens at Carey's east side spot clarklewis and, in January 2013, took over the kitchen as Bluehour's head chef. Through a rep, Carey says: "It's sad to see him leave the BCR family after so long, but we wish him well."
With Lane's departure, current clarklewis executive chef Kyo Koo will move to the Pearl District restaurant, while longtime clarklewis chef Zack Schomann steps up into the executive chef spot. The chef shuffles will happen "soon"; more information about Lane's next move as it becomes available.
