Onetime Portland Mercury restaurant critic (and acclaimed graphic novelist) Chris Onstad talks to Eat Beat about his latest bubbly project, Portland Soda Works. On the inspiration for creating his haute soda syrups, Onstad cites the lack of non-alcoholic drink options: "I'd be having a $150 dinner and it would be, 'Do you want milk or Diet RC?'
