DOWNTOWN— Holdfast Dining's chef duo Will Preisch and Joel Stocks will throw their first-ever "Holdfast at the Movies" event later this month, combining a film screening and cocktail party. The event, slated for August 25 at the Ace Hotel's Cleaners event space, will feature cocktails, passed-around "finger foods," and the Holdfast team's "favorite, less-known food movies and clips." FOSTER/POWELL— Beer and oyster bar NWIPA will celebrate its second anniversary this Saturday, August 9 with an all-day party. At noon, the bar will start pouring all beers currently on its taplist for $2 each, then roll out special kegs throughout the day.
