Feast fever is apparently contagious. With the arrival of the four-day food festival comes a rash of unofficial spin-off events and special deals. Here's where you can get a piece of the action.
Sunday, Sept. 21: Special dinner at Smokehouse 21
Scott Vivian from Beast Toronto is in own, and he'll be pairing up with chef BJ Smith from Smokehouse 21 for a six-course dinner. Vivian and Smith will prepare three courses. Cost is $55, or $75 with wine pairings. Seatings are at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Call Smokehouse 21 for reservations.
Today through Saturday, Sept. 20th: Let them eat toast
Wander into the lobby of a Provenance hotel this weekend and get a free snack courtesy of Smith Teamakers and Dave's Killer Bread. The tea tastings are, appropriately, at teatime (4-6 p.m.), while the "inspired toast tastings" are for those with the late-night munchies (11 p.m. to 1 a.m.). Here's the schedule:
