As if getting up on a Monday morning wasn't reason enough to drink coffee, today is National Coffee Day. And on this, the most superfluous psuedo-holiday ever, we get fitting news and a slideshow from GoLocalPDX that Jerry Seinfeld was in Portland Saturday shooting an episode of his web hit "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee."
This episode featured Portlandia's Fred Armisen, a vintage Saab 850 and, most importantly, Coava Coffee. After fueling up, rumor has it they drove off to Northeast Alberta Southeast Ankeny and 28th Avenue for lunch at the Grilled Cheese Grill Wolf and Bear's food cart. The budget-friendly cart seems like an odd choice for one of the richest men in the country, but then again, it has kick-ass food.
