In something of a reverse migration, popular Lake Oswego catering company and cafe GP Kitchen (formerly known as Gourmet Productions), is opening an outpost in the Pearl District October 16.

The new shop plans to offer much of the same dishes as the original location, which husband-and-wife team James Joyce and Vicky Davies opened in 1992. In addition to catering services, locals can grab prepared lunch or dinner items to eat there or take home. Think of it as the Whole Foods hot bar/deli case, but way better.  And a small market of gourmet items will include a collection of wines, cookbooks and chocolates.

The new cafe, located at 433 NW 10th Ave.,  will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
