Hearty sandwiches like lamb meatloaf with harissa aioli, and pork belly banh mi have been pulling a steady lunch crowd into Lovejoy Bakers since the Pearl location opened in 2010. And now the bakery/cafe is branching into dinner territory. You just have to take it to-go.
Both the Pearl District and eight-month-old SW Moody locations recently launched Dinners To Go. Each day the option changes, but you can count on a hearty entree and side dish. Expect options like Gumbo with Andouille Sausage, Chicken and Shrimp; Lamb and Black Bean Chili with Saffron Basmati Rice and Lime Yogurt; Hungarian Beef Goulash with House-made Herbed Dumplings and Sour Cream; and Chicken Tagine with Preserved Lemons, Green Olives and Couscous. Each meal costs around $18, feeds three to four people, and comes with a loaf of ficelle bread.
Stop in or call the bakery at 503-208-3113 to find out what's available that day.
