Ever since it was announced last August, ramen-heads and Biwa fans have been waiting on pins and needles for Noraneko to open at 1430 SE Water Avenue. And now things are finally moving ahead.
Named after the Japanese word for "stray cat," Noraneko is a 30-seat spin-off ramen joint from Gabe Rosen and Kina Voelz, co-owners of SE's nearly 8-year-old Japanese restaurant Biwa. Rosen says they officially started construction on Monday. "No official opening date yet, but we are expecting it to be late Feburary/early March," he says.
