Handsome Pizza, the acclaimed wood-fired pizza joint operating out of a garage in North Portland has closed its doors while it readies for a more permanent home.
Meanwhile, owner Will Fain is borrowing space and oven time at the similarly wood-fired Tabor Bread to launch a series of four Sunday night pizza pop-ups complete with live music.
The series starts this Sunday, Jan. 18 and repeats Jan. 25, Feb. 1, and Feb. 8. Hours are 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The music starts at 5:30 p.m.
The menu will include salads, drinks, and the following whole pizzas (some slices available for $3.50) for dine-in and take-out, but no phone orders:
The Di Fara ($24)
Tomato sauce, parmesan, fresh and aged mozzarella, basil, olive oil. Add pepperoni for $3
The Sweet Chris Walas ($26)
Mozzarella, sweet potato, kale, and salsa verde
The Julie Sabatier ($26)
Cauliflower, pickled pepper, shaved onions, and mozzarella
The Amy Miller ($25)
Tomato sauce, house smoked ham, braised greens, parmesan
