Macadam's Bar and Grill to Shutter by Feb. 1

After almost nine years, Macadam's Bar and Grill will be closing its doors for good at the end of the month.

The suburban sports bar was a neighborhood hub for catching a game on TV, a live cover band, or weekend brunch. But the lease is up at the end of February, and owner Tallie Steele says, "We were unable to reach an agreement with our landlord that will allow us to be profitable."

She says they've decided the last day of business will either be Saturday Jan. 31 or Sunday Feb. 1. "It will be very hard for me and my staff to say goodbye to this community. We would love to see as many customers as possible for the next two weeks."
