Boxer Ramen Unleashes Second Location on NE Alberta, Gives Away Free Ramen

As we reported back in November, Boxer Ramen is opening a second location on NE Alberta, nestled in a tiny space next to sister restaurant Little Big Burger. And it's officially opening its doors Thursday, Jan. 22

As per usual, owners Micah Camden and Katie Poppe are celebrating the birth of their newest restaurant with free food. Huzzah! On opening night from 5 to 9 p.m., you can get a free bowl of ramen.

Camden says the new location is small, but it's also heated (unlike the Westside spot in the Union Way alley). And although he expects to have a couple menu items exclusive to the Eastside at some point, at the start the menu at both will be the same. In addition to tasty sides like bonito-flake-topped tater tots, there are four styles of ramen:

• Tonkotsu - Shio: traditional pork broth, pork belly, soft poached egg, scallions
• Spicy Red Miso: spicy pork broth, pork belly, soft poached egg, scallions
• Shiitake - Shoyu: Shiitake mushroom-pork bone dashi. Shiitake mushrooms, soft poached egg, scallions
• Vegetarian Curry: vegetable stock, coconut milk, yellow curry, tofu, mushrooms, corn, scallions

The full menu will be available on Friday, January 23.
