Look Inside the New Boxer Ramen on NE Alberta

It's teeny tiny and it's opening tonight.

Boxer Ramen could open a location in a giant warehouse and fill every seat. But instead owners Micah Camden and Katie Poppe have once again decided to go the shoebox route, opening their second location in a sliver of a spot nestled between Little Big Burger and The Know bar on NE Alberta (conveniently located across from Salt & Straw).

If you thought the original outpost in the Union Way alley in Downtown's West End was little, the Northeast joint is even smaller. But ramen is not linger food, it's slurp-and-go food, emphasized by the utilitarian plywood decor at the new location.

There will be waits, of course, but at least you'll be able to sit it out in a sheltered area festooned with umbrellas hanging from the ceiling. Plus, if the Westside location is any indication you won't have to wait long. The Boxer Ramen crew knows how to keep the tables turning.

Boxer Ramen Northeast ( 2032 NE Alberta St.) opens tonight from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and is offering each diner a free bowl of ramen until they run out. After that, it'll be open daily from noon to 10 p.m.
