Downtown office workers rejoice! Master baker Marius Pop is (finally!) expanding his Nuvrei bakery into a chainlet and it's headed your way.
The man behind some of the city's best French macarons, bagel sandwiches, brioche pastries and genius flourless chocolate cookies, will open a second location in the ground floor of the U.S. Bancorp Tower (aka Big Pink).
Opening date and menu details are on their way. Update: The lease has just been signed, but Pop will have to wait a little while to take over the space and start the build-out. He's hoping to open this spring. As for the menu, it's not completely set, but you can expect Nuvrei's usual lineup of breakfast pastries, macarons, and bagel sandwiches. To drink there will be drip coffee (no espresso), plus house-made cold drinks like lemonade.
