Seattle's Best Bets for Thai Food and Super Bowl Eats

Welcome to CascadiaWire, a weekly collection of restaurant news from up-and-down the Pacific Northwest corridor.

SUPER BOWL FOOD — If you're headed to Seattle for Sunday's game, Eater Seattle has articles on weird, novelty Seahawks-themed food, where to order take-out on Super Bowl Sunday, and which restaurants are open on Sunday and showing the game.

CAPITOL HILL — Seattle's newest beer hall opens today on Capitol Hill. STOUT claims to be "a casual pub designed for beer enthusiasts who appreciate 'craft everything,' from beer to cocktails to well-prepared food." Along with ample choices for beer on tap and in bottles, the STOUT menu also includes food like burgers, sandwiches, salads, and flatbreads.

EATER MAPS — Thai restaurants are fairly ubiquitous in Seattle, though they can be uninspiring with many of the menus looking alike. Dishes like pad thai, green curry, and green papaya salad are everywhere, but are often dumbed down to American tastes. With so many to choose from, Eater has recommendations of Thai restaurants that rise above the rest, along with specific dishes to try.
