As of Monday, the brick and mortar location of Nong's Khao Man Gai has ventured into the hard-liquor realm. The drink menu now offers two cocktails that were developed by Saucebox restaurant Dig a Pony bartender David Benedetti.
The Mai Mee Fahn ($6) is a rocks drink made with Thai chiles, basil-infused vodka, fresh lime juice, palm syrup and mangosteen. On the creamier end of the spectrum is the No Have (at right; $6) made with vodka, Thai iced tea, coconut cream and cinnamon syrup, also served over ice.
In addition to cocktails, the new drinks menu features four wines by the glass, including a dry Portuguese white wine, an Italian pinot grigio, and two reds from Spain and Italy.
