Doi Dua Moving to D.C.; Sockeye Salmon Barbecue at The Redd

DOI DUAAnna Vocaturo and Sarah Bui's Vietnamese pop-up, Doi Dua, is pulling up its stakes and relocating to the nation's capitol next year. However, Vocaturo says that she and Bui are still accepting reservations for their planned $50 tasting menu dinners in November, so if you want to try what Willamette Week calls this town's "best and most ambitious Vietnamese restaurant ever," act now.

THE REDD ON SALMON STREET—Free up some time today to head over The Redd on Salmon Street for a wild sockeye salmon barbecue courtesy of Iliamna Fish Co. The event also includes a tour of The Redd's facilities, live music by Rebecca Gates, a Coquille Indian tribe lumber milling demonstration, and some good old-fashioned pumpkin carving. The event goes down from 4 to 9 p.m., and is free and open to the public.
