Iconically perched on the corner of NE Sandy and 14th Avenue for the past 92 years, Sandy Hut is a dive bar through and through, and though the new owners got rid of the live music when they took over last May, they've filled the gap with an updated menu. The newest development is brunch, which rolled out this past weekend.
As the below menu shows, the brunch sticks to alcohol-absorbing basics to pair with that days' hair of the dog. They start out cheap, too, at $6. As has been the case, dive bars are elevating their standards, and you'll also find cocktails with Stumptown cold brew and dishes like Crab Benedict and Spicy Shrimp and Grits. The Eggs Florentine even comes with spinach.
Sandy Hut is now serving brunch Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
