FOREST GROVE -- The owners of Pac Thai announced that they will bring a new sleek but well-priced tapas restaurant to Forest Grove called Bites in Spring 2016. Bites will serve Eastern and Western-fusion tapas, most of which will run less than $10 a plate, and it's currently running an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds. [Oregonian]

SOUTHEAST -- The popular Xico Mexican restaurant on SE Division—the one that has its own mill onsite to mill corn for its house-made tortillas—launched a late-night happy hour menu in September. Beginning nightly at 9 p.m., find $5 vegetarian tamales (allegedly meal-sized), tacos, and totopos and neat tequila and mezcal. [PDX Food and Drink]

SALEM -- One of the top 10 largest wine producers by volume in the state, Willamette Valley Vineyards is building a new winery in the Eola Hills outside of Salem. It should be completed May 2017.
