PEARL DISTRICT — To help you pick the best locally made holiday ham, this Sunday, Hamlet is throwing a free ham tasting with hams by Chop, Old Salt, Olympia Provisions, and Tails & Trotters. Treehouse Chocolate Co. will offer tastings of its drinking chocolates; Hamlet will serve sherry cocktails for purchase; and you can order your holiday ham on-site. The whole shebang runs 1 to 4 p.m., November 15. [EaterWire]
NORTHEAST — Fire + Stone is expanding its menu again, and this time, that means brunch. Offered Saturday and Sundays, the NE Fremont pizzeria and restaurant will serve things like deep-fried french toast and build-your-own hash. Concurrently, Fire + Stone will be closed Mondays from here on out. [EaterWire]
DOWNTOWN — The Rookery, the upstairs bar at Raven & Rose, is now offering half-off sparkling wines every Saturday, and you can choose from around 25 bottles priced $36 to $275. No food purchase is required, but the bar menu does provide plenty of sparkling-wine-friendly pairings, including mussels and charcuterie (and really, what doesn't pair well with sparkling?).
