NORTHEAST — Nonna, the Italian tavern and sister-restaurant to DOC, announced that Jacob Harth (Clyde Common, Ox, Davenport) now heads the kitchen, and he's focusing on making more in-house, from pickles to pasta and charcuterie. Nonna has also added new items to the happy hour menu, including $1 oysters, and according to the O, the main menu will from now on be broken up into five sections: cicchetti (snacks), cured and raw, vegetables, pasta and whole grains, and meat and seafood. NORTHWEST — Micah Camden and Katie Poppe's restaurant empire continues to expand and retract, and it announced today it's opening a Boxer Ramen just feet from its Blue Star Donuts in Northwest (Little Big Burger is just around the corner, too). To be located at 2309 N.W. Kearney St., the new Boxer Ramen will take over the former Two Tarts Bakery space. [Oregonian]
BEAVERTON — Ever heard of Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot? It's a Chinese franchise that specializes in giving you boiling pots of stock in which to cook a variety of meats, such as ribeye, cuttlefish balls, and Hokkigai surf clams, and vegetables, from lotus root to bok choy. It's coming to Beaverton beside the Asian Food Center. [Oregonian]
