Beaujolais Nouveau at St. Jack; Fête de Macaron at Pix Pâtisserie

ST. JACK—Chef Aaron Barnett is closing down the block adjacent to St. Jack, from 6 to 10 p.m. on Thursday night, to celebrate a gang of winemakers who'll be on hand to savor this year's batch of Beaujolais Nouveau. The block party will also feature snacks by Justin Woodward (Castagna), Cathy Whims (Nostrana), Rick Gencarelli (Lardo) and Roscoe Roberson (Coopers Hall). Tickets are $35, and $40 the day of. Proceeds from the event will benefit The Portland Kitchen, which teaches cooking techniques to local teenagers.
