The pop-up series from chefs Doug Weiler (Glyph) and John Pickett (Biwa, Ración) has found a home. Willow will take over the space formerly Fenrir, the Scandinavian small plates restaurant, above Cellar Door Coffee Roasters at 2005 SE 11th Ave. Fenrir temporarily shuttered in August to relocate to a larger venue, but the space isn't likely to limit Willow, which focuses on intimate seatings for around 12 diners.
"The space has a great history with Second Story and most recently, Fenrir," Weiler and Pickett tell Eater. Weiler and Pickett describe their cuisine as "Cascadian" and have previously said Willow aims to be a true "Portland Restaurant." Weiler and Pickett are still working out the menu, but it will likely offer a nightly tasting menu as well as an a la carte menu (here's a recent menu from one of their pop-up dinners).
Until it opens, Willow will continue its pop-up series, including an a la carte pop-up at Bluehour on November 15 and a collaboration with and at Farm Spirit on November 22. You can find more details on the official website, and look for more details here as soon as they develop.
