When Kir Jensen closed her NE Alberta bakery, The Sugar Cube, this spring, she said she would seek a "higher calling" made possible by "the new Oregon laws." Obviously this prompted excitement among mouths both salivating and cotton-like that she might open a bakery specialized in marijuana edibles.
For now, that may have all been a pipe dream. Jensen has taken a different, though equally exciting, trajectory: She's head of Renata's pastry program. You can now find many of her beloved baked goods with Italian twists at Renata.
