Hello Kitty Cafe Truck Pounces on Portland | Broder Nord Cuts Back Dinner Service

TIGARD — On November 7, a new style of cat cafe will roll into Tigard's Bridgeport Village to let you eat edible effigies of Hello Kitty cartoon characters. Its first visit to Portland, the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck will sell mini cakes, macarons, a cookie set, bow water, Hello Kitty Cafe t-shirts, and Hello Kitty Cafe mugs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m (pictures of cute, cuddly, and crunchy cats below). NORTH — Broder Nord has cut dinner service to one day a week: Fridays from 5 to 9 p.m., when the new Smörgåsbord Supper menu is available both a la carte and as a $35 tasting menu. Updated each Friday, Smörgåsbord Supper recently featured seven dishes, including salt cod fritters, buckwheat and ricotta dumplings, and a half-roasted chicken.
