After 12 years, The Farm Cafe is closing. Its last dinner service will be New Year's Eve, December 31, 2015. The restaurant prides itself on its strong relationships with local farms and its Oregon-centric wine list, and each night features a selection of farm-fresh salads and vegetable dishes, with the sautéed crimini mushroom appetizer earning fanatic-status. Meat and seafood dishes also change with the seasons, with current dishes including Clams with Fries, Lamb Bolognese Lasagna, and Rockfish, served with chard ragout, polenta cakes, and cornichon-dill aioli.
The Farm Cafe announced its closing on its website and social media today, December 1. The team behind the restaurant includes executive chef Kelly Weiss, sous chef Russell Pierce, and bartender Patrick Chizeck. Eater Portland has reached out for comment.
