This just out from PoMo— Homegrown Smokehouse and Deli is now open at 1628 SW Jefferson St., serving vegan barbecue and other "meats" in sub, burrito, and other forms. The recently posted menu on Facebook includes things like the Dagwood Sub, with roast "Be-IF," maple-ginger "H-yam," and all the fixings, as well as salads, soups, a vegan Philly cheesesteak, and sides like barbecue beans and coleslaw. Homegrown Smokehouse and Deli is an extension of what owner Jeff Ridabock was already doing with his Homegrown Smoker Vegan BBQ food cart, which currently resides at the Mississippi Marketplace food pod. In addition to new items and favorite standbys, at Homegrown Smokehouse Deli, you can now eat inside in a cosy dining room with a fireplace, and you can also buy vegan deli "meats" and grab-and-go sides. It's open Monday and Wednesday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
