Last week we brought news of Multnomah Whiskey Library's cocktail class on Saturday Feb. 7, wherein bartenders Jordan Felix and Michael Lorberbaum will demonstrate how to make the perfect Cognac Sazerac, Saratoga and Vieux Carre. It's sold out now, but if you missed your chance don't cry. Not only will MWL be releasing a whole new series of classes in the next few weeks, two other PDX bartending heavyweights are hosting a class this weekend, too.

Teardrop's Daniel Shoemaker and Sean Hoard, who are the duo behind Commissary cocktail juices and syrups, are teaching Cocktails 101 on Sunday Feb. 8 at The Commissary from 2 to 5 p.m. The class costs $50 and is all about home bar basics. According to their Facebook page, get ready for "much knowledge to be dropped." To save your spot, email info@commissarypdx.com.
