SNOQUALMIE PASS — Snoqualmie Pass's newest watering hole, the Dru Bru brewery and tap room, focuses on German and Belgian-inspired beer as well as the lighter styles of the spectrum. Their session ales are crisp and bright and made with mountain water, making for a perfect pint after a long day on the ski slopes. Eater had the chance to chat with owner Dru Ernst on why he decided to open up on the Pass.
BELLTOWN — Seattle's newest hotel, the Palladian, officially opened this week, and with it, two new spots to eat and drink. New restaurant Shaker + Spear served its first customers on Tuesday with a seafood-centric menu drawing heavily on regional ingredients. The hotel also includes a new bar, Pennyroyal, an old world-style spot focusing on aged spirits and house-made ingredients like liquor infusions, vermouth, grenadine, tonic, and bitters.
SODO — Ghostfish Brewing opened yesterday, making it the city's first and only dedicated gluten-free brewery; its beers are brewed not with barley, but with gluten-free grains like millet and buckwheat. The taproom will also serve gluten-free pizza.
