Let there be bread — and maple danishes.

Northwest Portland's Cedar Mill neighborhood is getting its own outpost of Grand Central Bakery. The family-owned company's seventh cafe will take over a former 7-Eleven in the Cornell Plaza shopping center at the corner of NW Cornell and Saltzman roads.

According to a press release, the 2,200-square-foot space is about the same size of the bakery's Multnomah Village location and will include 30 parking spaces. The menu will offer the same selection of seasonal sandwiches, soups and pastries, plus the bakery's signature artisan breads. The remodel will begin in a few months and the company expects to have the bakery open by late 2015.

In January, Grand Central shuttered its cafe in the Sawtooth Building on NW York in order to use the space to expand production of its line of wholesale breads. And last fall Grand Central shuttered its NE Weidler cafe, but opened a new location on SE Woodstock.
