Portland continues its almost weekly run of chefs competing on the Food Network show Chopped, but this time it's a team effort. Adam and Jackie Sappington, chef-owners of The Country Cat will appear on tonight's episode, titled "Double Trouble." They're up against two other cooking couples, and will have to cook with ingredients like date vinegar and chili garlic coated peas in the first round. If they make it through that, they get to take on a "lively sea critter" and sweet potato patties. For the dessert round, there's creme fraiche and port wine, which sounds like a slam-dunk.
The episode airs on the Food Network at 10 p.m. tonight.
