If you've been wondering what's going on with Muselet, the global-inspired, French-influenced, wine-focused restaurant slated for the Southwest Waterfront's Ardea building, wonder no more.
On Valentine's Day, Muselet restaurant stood framed, wired, and plumbed, awaiting (as it had been for weeks) for its final inspection from the city before the build-out of the interior could finally resume. Now we have word that they passed the inspections and the walls are up. "Next is paint and carpet and we can move in," says spokesperson Jeffrey Smith.
Owner/wine steward Ron Acierto is hoping to open by early or mid-April, and says to keep your eyes open for a series of soft opening dinners. by chef William Harper, former sous chef of the now-closed Noisette, and more recently one half of the duo behind Ippai's kaiseki-style pop-up.
UPDATE: Smith now says chef William Harper is out at Muselet. No word yet on who is taking his place.
