Free Cone Day has once again arrived at Ben & Jerry's (huzzah!) and that means you can stop into any outpost around town and get a free scoop of your choice, from noon to 8 p.m. And, if you're feeling particularly piggy, you can get back in line for another scoop as many times as you want.
The company is pretty generous when it comes to giving away ice cream. Just last October co-founder Jerry Greenfield was in town stumping for Oregon's GMO food labeling law, and gave away free cones for an hour. But Free Cone Day, which comes around once a year, is different because you can pick out any flavor and the giveaway lasts all day long. The company says it's their way of saying "thank you."
