Dealfeed: Ruby Jewel Offers Free Ice Cream; Tillamook Gives Away Grilled Cheese

RUBY JEWEL — The com-dram (is that a genre?) "While We're Young" starring Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts opens Friday April 10. Why should you care? Because if you go, you can trade in your ticket for free ice cream at Ruby Jewel. In the film, a character played by Amanda Seyfried creates an ice cream company, so the movie's promoters asked Ruby Jewel to create an actual ice cream to tie in with the fictitious flavors. They settled on Salted Honey Ice Cream with Almond Brittle, which will be available in both scoop shops starting on Friday. And it's free to ticket holders while supplies last.

GRILLED CHEESE — Sunday April 12 is National Grilled Cheese Day, dont'cha know.  It's also a home game for the Portland Timbers. That means two things: 1) The Bunk Truck will be parked outside Providence Park near the Civic Taproom, and 2) Tillamook Cheese is partnering with them to offer free Tillamook grilled cheese bites and Tillamook Cheese snacks. Look for the truck from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to score your free grub.
