Eater Portland Seeks New Editor. Is It You?

Today it is our sad duty to announce that Danielle Centoni is moving on from her post as editor of Eater Portland. Though her last day won't happen for a few weeks, effective immediately, we're on the hunt for a Portland resident and writer to take on the job. Duties will include reporting on openings, closings, staff shuffles, and all the drama and excitement that go hand in hand with the Portland restaurant scene.

The ideal candidate has experience covering local restaurants, and a knack for breaking news and uncovering stories. This is a freelance gig with commensurate pay. You'll be able to work from anywhere so long as you have a line on good restaurant/nightlife intel and you're able to blog on a daily basis.

If you think you fit the bill, drop an email to jobs@eater.com with a brief description about yourself and a paragraph or two about why you're interested in the job. If you've got writing clips, a blog and/or social media accounts, please include a link to them as well. No resumes, please. If we like what we see, we'll be in touch quickly. Thanks.
