Yesterday, The Oregonian dropped the news that Loyal Legion, the 120-seat 99-tap beer hall will open in the inner-southeast's old Portland Police Athletic Association building by early July.
The beer hall, which will strictly pour Oregon-only brewed beer, is slated to open for a few private events on Independence Day weekend, and will open to the public at large a few days later.
Loyal Legion is the latest development by Kurt Huffman and his ChefStable restaurant-generating outfit. And while the beer list is still in the works, the food list is pretty much nailed down. Expect to pair all those suds with that with which beers pair best: sausages—lots of Olympic Provisions* sausages—as well as a trio of salads, a hamburger, a cheeseburger and a veggie burger.
Assorted snacks and sides, like soft pretzels with a cheesy dipping sauce, and tots and fries, round out the menu.
