Look Inside The Green Room, Now Open Downtown

The Multnomah Whisk(e)y Library’s new waiting room is, indeed, green—very green.

As of yesterday, Multnomah Whisk(e)y Library took the first public step towards mitigating its sometimes crazy wait times. They went and opened The Green Room — a swanky sort of waiting room for the Library. Here, you can take one of 30 seats and enjoy light snacks (grilled cheeses, potted rillettes, homemade ricotta cheese starters) while sipping low-proof cocktails made with sherries, vermouth, and Campari and designed to open up your palate while you wait for a seat upstairs.

Despite its size and waiting room-status, the bar's no slouch. Bar manager Jordan Felix has stocked it with over 100 different spirits, meaning you can get a strong drink if you're not in the mood for the bar's signature cocktails.

And as you can see by the accompanying photos, The Green Room, closely hewing to the MWL's classy feel, is very green—from the paint, paneling and tiles all the way down to the lampshades, tabletops and chairs.

The Green Room: 1122 SW Alder St., 503.954.1381; Hours: 4 p.m. to midnight, Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., Fridays and Saturdays
