Is this the bone broth restaurant we've been waiting for?

Broth Bar, located at 115 NE 6th Avenue, near NE Couch Street, sent out a press release today saying that it will open for business Wednesday, August 5, at 8am. To celebrate its first day, it will serve free samples of two of its broths, from the menu below, while supplies last. Tressa and Katie Yellig own Broth Bar, and Tressa also owns the retail shop and cooking classroom, Salt, Fire and Time, in Southeast Portland. Tressa has been selling retail versions of her bone broth at Salt, Fire and Time since 2009, and opening Broth Bar will allow her to serve her German-grandmother-inspired broths fresh to customers.

Upon opening, Broth Bar will offer two hot bone broths a day, and the selection will rotate. No word on which bone broths it will serve gratis opening day, but the below menu will run for at least the first three weeks of business. All broths will be made using bones sourced from Pacific Northwest farms and ranches, from livestock that are pasture-raised, grass-fed and -finished, and hormone, antibiotic, and GMO-free. Broth Bar will also sell Tressa's retail line of bone broths, jerkies, and other edible products.
