BULGOGI PICS - The blame lands squarely on the marinated beef shoulders of Koi Fusion for this one, although the skyrocketing popularity of Kim Jong Grillin may have been what took us into the top 5. As reported by The Oregonian, a new Instagram app ranks which cities post the most photos of which foods, and Portland ranks higher than London for pics of bulgogi.

OPENTABLE VS. - An online restaurant-reservation service, Tock is slowly expanding across the country, and former Google engineer and founding partner Brian Fitzpatrick announced last week on Twitter that Farm Spirit will be the first Portland restaurant to adopt the system. With Tock, you must pay in advance to reserve a seat at a restaurant, much like you would a sporting event or concert. With all of the supper clubs in Portland, Tock, which has been adopted by the likes of Thomas Keller, may find a natural fit.

POACHEDJOBS.COM - If you work in the hospitality industry, then you've likely come across Poached, a Portland-based company co-owned by Peter Bro (Broder, All-Way Burger) that helps restaurants find employees and employees find jobs. According to the Portland Business Journal, Poached just received over $750K in investments, which leaves hundreds of chefs wondering: You can find $750K, but I still can't find a well-paying job?
