One of our most highly anticipated fall openings, the as-yet-unnamed brick-and-mortar project by chefs Peter Cho and Johnny Leach, is now expected for late November. With experience cooking within the David Chang and April Bloomfield empires in New York, Cho and Leach arrived in Portland last December to serve gourmet hot dogs. Just three months later, Portland became a veritable haute dog den. You can thank Cho and Leach.

Currently, Cho and Leach hold the Stray Dogs pop-up in various locations around the city, and the menu has transitioned from creative wieners to creative Korean. Will the menu at the brick and mortar reflect this change? Recent dishes include sesame cornbread with honey-and-charred-scallion compound butter and bowls of cold buckwheat soba noodles, and Leach tells Eater they're "gearing the restaurant toward prix fixe family meals that change with the season."

The location is still secret, but Leach and Cho's brick and mortar will open in Northeast's Kerns neighborhood.
