CAFE CASTAGNA - On August 30, Cafe Castagna is throwing the End of Summer Block Party, with lamb skewers prepared by chef Wesley Johnson and grilled on the sidewalk, as well as a variety of vegetable dishes. The Middle Eastern cuisine comes with mead cocktails and honey soda by the Bee Thinking apiary and a variety of beers and wines. Tickets are available in advance.
NEESAY AT THE 19TH HOLE - In what's being billed as a pop-up within a pop-up, The 19th Hole welcomes Neesay, a pop-up restaurant operated by Hamlet's Jun Robles, to its space on September 2 from 5 p.m. to close. Neesay will serve dishes like kimchee-spiked poutine, crawfish handrolls, and "spam" sliders to pair with roughly 40 cans of alcoholic beverages, from wines to ciders and beers. The 19th Hole, a pop-up run by Hotel deLuxe and its Gracie's Restaurant, has 9 holes of miniature golf on site.
FORMER WILDWOOD RESTAURANT SPACE - The for-lease sign has been taken down at the space formerly home to Wildwood Restaurant, and the Urban Works real estate group confirms that the location has been rented; however, because the new tenant still has "some contingencies to complete," no details can be released at this time.
