After losing its long-time location and a legal battle over who owns the name, Besaw's will reopen on the corner of NW 21st and Raleigh in the new LL Hawkins building. As previously reported, owner Cana Flug retains ownership of the restaurant name, and the new location is just a couple blocks away from the old location.
Flug announced by press release that she has joined forces with Urban Works, Meriwether Group, Cairn Pacific, and Capstone Partners and is exploring the potential of her new space. She wrote, "Hollandaise every day! Happy hour! Family supper! We’ve missed you!" And chef Michael Uhnak will reportedly stick to many of the Besaw classics while adding some new items.
Flug will open an additional restaurant next door to Besaw's, but she has not released specifics.
As far as timing, Besaw's aims to open in time for the 2015 holidays.
