SOUTHEAST -- According to Portland Monthly, former Saint Cupcake owner Jami Curl will open a second Quin Candy in early October at 2805 SE Ankeny St. Quin Candy is known for its mind-bendingly creative—not to mention organic and non-artificial—candies, and the new store will offer bulk candy sales and candy-making classes. SOUTHEAST -- Double Mountain, that powerhouse Hood River brewery serving craft beers, including sour fruit beers, and thin-crust pizzas, plans to open a taproom in Southeast in spring 2016. Breaking the news, The New School Beer blog says the exact location is still a secret (probably to keep Double Mountain-fanatics from forming a line before construction even starts), and the taproom intends to have a full liquor license, outdoor seating, and the full pizza menu. DOWNTOWN -- After quietly rolling out lunch in September, the Fogo de Chao Brazilian steakhouse confirms that it is officially offering lunch Monday through Friday. Keeping to its set-price style, de Chao will offer a mostly, if not all, vegetarian smorgasbord of Brazilian salads, soup, stew, and side dishes for $15. But you can always tack on its flame-grilled meats. [EaterWire]
